Frequently asked questions
The Million Dollar Pixels sells advertising space on a 1,000,000-pixel wall, $1 per pixel, each pixel only once. Here are short answers to what founders ask most.
What is The Million Dollar Pixels?
The Million Dollar Pixels is a pixel advertising board for startups: a wall of 1,000,000 pixels where founders buy a small rectangle and show their logo, link and tagline. Every pixel is sold only once, so each spot belongs to one startup. It is an independent site run by Mohit Gupta in India.
Who can advertise?
Startups and SaaS founders first, and anyone with a website or digital product is welcome too: apps, newsletters, blogs, portfolios, online courses, templates and e-books. Personal websites are fine. Every ad passes the same automatic checks, and some offers, such as gambling or get-rich schemes, are not allowed.
How much does a pixel cost?
One pixel costs $1 (US dollars). A volume discount applies to the whole order: 20% off 5 or more pixels and 25% off 20 or more. For example, 100 pixels (10 x 10) cost $75. The full price, including any tax, is shown before you pay.
How do I buy pixels?
Click a free pixel or drag a rectangle on the board, or pick a ready-made size and let us find a free spot. Your pixels are held for 10 minutes while you pay on Dodo Payments' secure checkout. Then you add your logo, link, title and tagline on our site.
Is it a one-time payment?
Yes. You pay once per order. There is no subscription, no automatic renewal and no saved card. Card and UPI payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our payment partner, so we never see or store your card details. Your receipt arrives by email with your order key.
How long do my pixels stay mine?
Your pixels stay yours for as long as the site runs; nobody else can ever buy them. We do not promise a minimum number of years. If the site ever closes, we will tell every advertiser in advance by email and on the homepage. You cannot move or resize your area.
Can I change my ad later?
Yes. In Manage my ad you can change your logo, link, title, tagline or badge, so one spot can show your products one at a time. Bigger spots get more changes: 5 for 1–4 pixels, 8 for 5–19, 10 for 20–99 and 15 for 100 pixels or more. Every change is checked first; refused ones don't count.
Will you promote the wall?
Yes. At launch we're sharing the wall with startup and founder communities online, so more founders and visitors hear about it. Every ad also gets its own page and a place in the startups directory, which search engines can find. We don't promise clicks, traffic or rankings.
What if my area is very small?
Areas of at least 10 x 10 pixels show your logo itself on the board. Smaller areas, even a single pixel, show a dot in your logo's colour, and your logo, name and tagline appear when visitors hover over it. You can try your logo on the board before paying.
What is not allowed?
No adult content, scams, malware, phishing, hate, violence or anything illegal; no gambling or betting, crypto investment schemes, get-rich offers, MLM, fake reviews or followers, hacked accounts or medicines sold without a prescription; and no content you do not own. Every ad is checked automatically, and ads that break the rules are taken down.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, a full refund if you ask before your ad goes live, or if we cannot place your ad. Double payments and payments that arrive after someone else bought your pixels are refunded automatically. Once your ad is live, the sale is final. Write to us to ask for a refund.
Is this the Million Dollar Homepage?
No. The Million Dollar Pixels is an independent site inspired by the famous Million Dollar Homepage from 2005, and it is not affiliated with it. Like the original, it sells 1,000,000 pixels, here at $1 each, only once. Unlike it, you can buy a single pixel and edit your ad later.
Will my ad bring me clicks or better search rankings?
We do not promise clicks, traffic, search rankings or backlinks. Ad links are marked as sponsored, as search engines require. What you get is a spot on the wall for as long as the site runs, your own advertiser page, and private numbers showing your clicks and page views.
What does the For sale badge mean?
If you are selling your startup, you can add a For sale badge with your asking price. Interested buyers contact you through your website. The badge is only a listing: we are not a broker, we hold no money and we take no part in any sale between you and a buyer.
What is a Founding advertiser?
The first 100 paid orders get a Founding advertiser number that stays with the ad, for example Founding advertiser #7. It is given automatically at the moment of payment, in payment order, and it shows on your ad's hover card and on your advertiser page. There is no extra charge and no way to buy one later.
